It's a good phone, love the way you can open to take a call and close to hang up, it's awesome. The signal on this phone is absolutely brilliant, my old phone used to always lose signal, but this one holds the signal all the time, even in a metal locker or a boat, 15 miles offshore. The call quality is awesome, even rivalling my 3G Nokia. BUT!! If you are buying a phone for primarily texting, then do not buy this phone. Honestly. Don't. The texting experience is slow and cumbersome, the keys are too far apart and predictive text can't even spell 'attention' and 'carrot' and 'pea' it seriously is the worst texting experience ever. But if you are getting it for calling, which I do a lot as I use it as a back up at work. Then this phone will satisfy your needs. It also has a load of other features like a music player, a (crappy) web browser, a VGA camera and a secondary display which shows the time, battery life and how many bars of signal you've got. Reliable and with enough extras to make this a use anywhere mobile, I get everything I need without the worry of it being stolen. It is small enough to put in my pocket, but large enough to use easily. Reception and sound quality are good, battery drain is not bad. The keypad is big enough to use with large hands, and the screen is very clear to see. If you need a phone that does not cost a fortune, and don't need the latest gimmicks, then this is a good phone to buy.
I have an android phone which i like but when i go out i am worried about lossing it or braking it. Also when i go on holiday i will have to turn off all my internet settings so as not to run up large bill abord. So i got the Motorola v550 its for going out and taking on holidays. I used to have one of these phones years ago and now like then its a great little phone does all i want it to on nights out etc.. Only problem is i would be gutted to lose it but better £30 than £250..
It's a great phone if you take the time to explore its functions. Bluetooth works great for headsets, data must be transmitted by USB cable, also works great. It has a very handy organiser/calendar and alarm function that can be customised very easely, Great phone, it's been reliable and dependale, and I find it easy to work with. A Good Mobile
